Michael Bergman
Principal Analyst
Michael has recently joined the ISF as a Principal Analyst.
Prior to joining the ISF he worked at Hitachi Vantara as Information Security and Audit Manager, and at ActiveVideo as Head of Information Security.
After completing a BA-HR and BSC-Information Systems degrees, his career started in South Africa as a software developer. With the increasing significance of security in software development, he decided to broaden the scope of his role, to encompass the practices of the GRC, InfoSec, and assurance domains. Using these practices, in combination with his technical knowledge he worked across the three lines of defence and contributed to the successful completion of numerous ISMS projects.
As Principal Analyst in the Tools and Methodologies team, Michael is responsible for reviewing and updating the ISF Standard of Good Practice for Information Security (SOGP). As part of his role, Michael is currently conducting research around both the NIS2 and DORA Directives.
